A summer wedding at Falcon Manor, North Yorkshire!

Lucy and Patrick were a videographer’s dream couple! Having been together for ten years they were so comfortable in each other’s company and so much in love! They tied the knot at Holy Trinity Church in the picturesque North Yorkshire market town of Skipton, situated on the doorstep of the famous Skipton Castle. Definitely my kind of setting on a gorgeous September day!

A Road trip to the 3 peaks.

Before the reception at Falcon Manor in the equally stunning market town of Settle, photographer Georgie Beck and I took the happy couple up a few 1 in 3 gradient (this may be a slight exaggeration, but it certainly felt like it at times) winding roads to Warrendale Knots. The views of the Yorkshire 3 Peaks from up there are breathtaking! And it turned out to be the perfect location for Lucy and Patrick to practice their first dance! So, with my phone tucked into Patrick’s top pocket and Spotify playing their favourite tune, they danced the afternoon away (for at least 2 minutes)! We had so much fun that I could have stayed there all day, but they had wedding guests waiting back at the Manor!

This was my first visit to Falcon Manor.

I have now ticked off all the James’ Place venues from my list. Falcon Manor being the sole Yorkshire representative. The James’ Place website describes Falcon Manor as ‘dramatically unique’. I can’t think of a more appropriate term to describe this stunning country house!

Lucy and Patrick’s elegant arrival at Falcon Manor in their vintage wedding car led to drinks, canapés and a game of boules (for a few of their old university friends) on the lawn of Falcon Manor’s beautiful gardens. Then after speeches and the wedding breakfast, it was back on to the lawn with the lovebirds as the sun began to set for a few more fun moments with photographer Georgie and I, and another practice first dance, before we headed back inside for the real thing.  All that practice paid dividends as they nailed it!

Thanks so much to Lucy and Patrick for choosing me to capture their best day ever! I cannot wait to return to the stunning Falcon Manor!
